Typesetting

Typesetting is the process of putting the inside of your book together. The setting out of the chapters and the formatting of the text.
It is also the layout of the book with Title, Copyright and acknowledgement pages at the front.
We will work with you to make your book look professional.
We produce a pdf document for you to use and which any printer will accept.
We accept most word processor documents and even hand written manuscripts (this is expensive to get typed up) but Microsoft Word is the best to use.
We will produce your book in a format accepted by UK or US printers.
Typesetting starts at £58
Tips
Use Microsoft Word and save your work as Word 97 - 2003 Document. This will be accepted by the majority of printers.
When starting your work set up styles for your book.
Find a book you like and set the text size the same by printing a few different sizes until you get the same size.
Every page is going to cost you money and if you price a page at 1p then saving 10 pages per book on your set-up is worth it.
You need to market your self published book at the same price as the mainstream books so keeping page count down is important.
The size of your book is important and a bigger book can reduce the cost on page count.
Never use Tabs to produce indents.
Do not press space twice between sentences.
Unless it is a non-fiction book you do not need a table of contents.
All of the above will save you money when you come to have your book typeset.
